Abstract

DI 620 drill rig is one of the new Sandvik Mining and Construction offerings in the mining industry. It is a reverse circulation rig manufactured for in-pit grade control drilling and exploration application. Introduced in 2008, the machine reached few customers in Africa and Australia who reacted differently to the product. The aim of this project is to evaluate its market position in Tanzanian region, customer’s reaction in the past two years since its introduction into the market and marketing strategy needed in increasing its market share.
