Abstract

This study explores the potential of a popular AI tool, ChatGPT, to enhance research capabilities in non-English-speaking countries, with a particular focus on Thailand. Language barriers and limited access to English-language resources often challenge researchers in these regions, impacting the quality and accessibility of their research. ChatGPT, as a versatile AI language model, offers a promising solution by providing substantial support in two critical areas: improving English grammar in research writing and accelerating the overall research writing process. By assisting Thai researchers in composing clear and accurate English-language texts, ChatGPT not only enhances the readability of research outputs but also reduces the time and effort required to complete a manuscript. This study assesses the role of ChatGPT in facilitating these improvements, underscoring its potential to bridge language gaps, foster greater research productivity, and support Thailand’s contributions to the global research community.
