Assessment of a comprehensive recoverability of spent furnace linings from copper and nickel metallurgy

Activity: Talk or presentation Oral presentation

Description

The metallurgical industry is a major consumer of refractory materials. For spent furnace linings generated in the production of nonferrous metals, recycling methods for the simultaneous recovery of refractory materials and infiltrated metals are lacking. This presentation explores the recovery potential of these two fractions from spent refractory bricks originating from the copper and nickel industries.
