Detection of Characteristic Frequencies of Roller Bearing Deflections

Activity: Talk or presentation Oral presentation

Description

In the modal analysis it is common to use
accelerometers to measure the response signals. In
this test procedure the focus is to only measure the
displacement and surface velocity of the structure
by the laser vibrometer and compare it to the load
current of the induction motor. By analyzing the test
values of a healthy roller bearing and a provoked
damaged roller bearing of the same type but under
different conditions, the purpose is to detect
differences in the behavior of their response to
various measured quantities. The focus is to find
abnormalities in the electric stator current
waveform of the induction motor in contrast to the
measured displacements during the test procedure
to get conclusions about a solid analytical
calculation routine for characteristic frequency
identification.
