Ocean Acidification and Climate Change - a Planetary Boundary Perspective

Activity: OtherTypes of External academic engagement - Research and Teaching at External Organisation

Description

Lectures for Future (L4F) is an interdisciplinary lecture series that has been offered at various Austrian universities since the 2019 winter semester. In the L4F, researchers provide insights into their current scientific and artistic work on the topics of the climate crisis and sustainable development.

Many of the L4F events are open to the interested public. Students can also attend the L4F as part of courses at the participating universities. Our main motivation is to promote a critical public discourse on climate and sustainability-related topics, as well as their long-term anchoring in the Austrian university landscape.
The L4F initiative explicitly shows solidarity with the climate activism of the international youth movement Fridays for Future.
