The Chair of Ferrous Metallurgy at Montanuniversität is dedicated to research and teaching at a high scientific level on the material cycle of primary and secondary raw materials, including value extraction and refinement, up to the material steel. We are particularly committed to the sustainability of iron and steel production and collaboration with industrial partners, research institutes, and universities. Our goal is to provide application-oriented training for highly qualified professionals who will contribute to maintaining Europe as a production hub. We offer a stimulating environment in research and teaching for dedicated young engineers from both domestic and international backgrounds, and we consider ourselves an attractive employer.
