Abstract

A huge amount of waste energy at the facilities of the trunk gas pipeline system annually disappears with enviable stability. The potential of waste energy at gas main transport facilities is very high, especially at compressor stations. The purpose of this work is to increase the share of the use of secondary energy resources at compressor stations. In this thesis, the potential of waste energy is analyzed on the example of data from the compressor station “Moskovo”. The ways of utilization of thermal and SER of overpressure energy by generating electricity are proposed. The values of the electric power of a combined-cycle gas plant based on gas turbine units used in PJSC “Gazprom” are calculated and analyzed. A scheme is proposed for the implementation of a turbo-expander installation on the fuel gas line at the compressor station, with energy savings for cooling the compressed gas on air cooling units, as well as generating electricity for the own and external needs of the compressor station. The regularities of the input and output gas temperatures on the units in the scheme are found, the scope of the proposed scheme is determined, and the need to use only a part of the compressed gas flow for heating the fuel gas is revealed. An approximate calculation was made and the values of the performance indicators of the turbo-expander unit were obtained, namely, the power of the turbo-expander unit and the annual energy savings. The data of the “Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok” gas pipeline were used as the initial data. At the end of the thesis, the economic efficiency of the proposed scheme based on a turbo-expander installation is calculated.
