Competitor Analysis of Railway Infrastructure Asset and Maintenance Management IT-Systems for voestalpine Digital Track Management GmbH

This thesis aims to analyze the competition of voestalpine Digital Track Management GmbH. The company offers asset and maintenance management software for railway infrastructure. The most significant competitors have been investigated in detail, and a comparison of the functionalities of the individual software solutions was created. A matrix was created to determine which functionalities are covered and finally to evaluate the extent to which the individual systems cover the areas of asset and maintenance management. Internal interviews, a survey of competitors' customers, and extensive internet research were conducted to gather information. This made it possible to identify important aspects of the competition, the company's position in the market, unique selling points, and potentials for improvement. In addition, theoretical elements of asset and maintenance management systems for railway infrastructure and competitor analysis, to generate an understanding of the topic.
