Corporate Foresight Maturity in Oil and Gas Organisations

Research output: ThesisDoctoral Thesis

Abstract

This thesis aims to enhance organisational capabilities to improve the likelihood of survival, maintain the status quo, and excel at higher and sustainable growth within a VUCA environment. More specifically, this work aims to improve the organisational capacity of oil and gas organisations to detect and interpret weak and early signals by identifying the gap between the as-is and the should-be situation of their corporate foresight capabilities. This commences through the development and application of an enhanced capability maturity model for corporate foresight in accordance with an oil and gas context.
