Abstract

The paper shows how functional models made of Fischertechnik can be used in technical logistics education. On the sample of a high rack with automated storage and retrieval machine it is shown how such a model is built, controlled and used for teaching. Further it is analyzed why the usage of such models from the didactical point of view can be recommended. There is a discussion of key words like Key Competences, Activation and Activity orientation. In addition there is a concrete description how a model can be embedded into education - containing issues to be solved, requirements for supervisors and possibilities of evaluation. In the last part there is a preview of possible extensions within the scope of a logistic laboratory.
