Abstract
Aim of this thesis is to study the possibility of use of fibre concrete in Austria. The investigation concerns technical, regulative and economical views. The possibilities of use are shown in examples. The technical pros and cons of fibre concrete are studied and the different fibre types and their effects in the concrete matrix are presented. The existing national and international norms and legislations are presented and compared. Due to this elaboration, a basis for an Austrian guideline and test method is created. On the example of the project KAT3 is the replacement of the conventional reinforced standard Tubbings under investigation. To show the advantage of fibre concrete for Tubbing production, an economical comparison of fibre and bar reinforcement is done.
