    Abstract

An important field of conveyor technology is covered by energy-independent conveyor systems. They come in all applications where a power connection to existing systems is not possible. Reason can be a high degree of required flexibility of the system, a difficult technical implementation or lack of infrastructure. Costs usually decide the use of autonomous conveyor plants. To make such investments as economically as possible, it is important to use an energy-efficient power source. The drive system often consists of an internal combustion engine which drives an generator or a hydraulic pump. The contents of this master thesis is to develop an engine test facility for possible alternative drive systems in stand-alone conveyors. After a literature review about fluid flow engines, which are chosen in a project thesis as the most appropriate variant of a loading machine, follows a basic interpretation. To conduct the energy which is converted into heat, a powerful cooling system is essential. This is also interpreted as all the main mechanical components of the engine test facility. The control options, according to the characteristic field of a hydrodynamic brake, are shown. The measurement will be executed with all the necessary individual sensors and as an overall concept. The design of the system is explained step by step and evaluated. Finally, the construction and commissioning of the engine test facility are descript and the results are presented.
