Abstract
In the present thesis, a heat and fluid dynamic evaluation of vacuum tube collectors available on the market was carried out and collectors’ specific characteristics were analyzed. Subsequently, dynamic system simulations were realized in Polysun, which describe the influence of the orientation of vacuum tube collector on the solar gain. Based on the results of the analysis of various collector concepts on the market and the simulation results and considering the requirements for vacuum tube collectors used in industrial heat processes in the intermediate temperature range between 80 ° C and 120 ° C, a new collector concept, the "helix Sydney tube" is evaluated. The workflow for creating the representational work was supported by the project "MidTempColl" (project management AEE INTEC).
