Instandhaltungsoptimierung auf Basis autonomer Instandhaltung

The theoretical part of this master thesis consists of two chapters; the first one describes the scientific methods used in the practical part. The second chapter describes Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), its goals and key performance indicators and particularly methods for implementation of TPM in companies. The very important parts of TPM for this thesis are expounded in particular, methods of lean production that are used in the practical part of this master thesis and the explanation of change management are outlined concerning the needs of this thesis. The next part of chapter 2 focuses on audits, in particular on audits in Total Productive Maintenance. The first section of the practical part gives an insight into the “voestalpine Weichensysteme GmbH Zeltweg” and its current challenges regarding Total Productive Maintenance. Thereupon an analysis of the current situation is displayed, followed by the explanation of the preparation of a new concept to optimize TPM efforts within the company. This concept includes the establishment of information boards containing visual standards and auditing. The last part of this master thesis depicts the possible advantages achievable from implementing the presented concept.
