Abstract

The incurred quantity of waste in an Aluminium die casting factory can be reduced by the use of further developed die separating agents, hydraulic liquids and lubricants and by taking organizational steps for their right use and recycling afterwards. Regular maintainence as well as cleaning the machines and factory buildings are requirements for a frictionless production. Surplus liquids should be caught as clean as possible, so that the following waste-emulsion cleaning process will be easier. It may be possible during the treating of die casting products to do without or even use less lubricants but this depends on the chosen kind of treating and on the needed quality of the products. Dry plunger lubricants are an alternative to oil lubrication because water cant be polluted with oil, the shot velocity is higher and also the parts look brighter. Used liquids should be recycled on an internal company basis after processing. By the consistant use of environmental management not only environmental goals can be reached, there is also an improvement in business mangement matters.
