Abstract
The project focuses on studying the impacts of CO2 injection for carbon sequestration, particularly regarding mineral dissolution. When CO2 interacts with the reservoir's formation water, it creates a mild acid that dissolves minerals found in rocks. This process affects various aspects of fluid flow dynamics, such as altering porosity, permeability, and parameters related to multiphase flow. Additionally, it influences mechanical properties like Young's modulus and sonic velocities of the rock.
