    Abstract

For quite some time belt conveyors are used as one of the most efficient methods for cargo and bulk cargo worldwide. Due to the rapid development in the field of underground construction, flexible solutions for the transport of the recovered goods are necessary. This work deals with a portion of a conveyor belt system, which is to grow continuously with the propulsion. For this purpose a loop take up system will be positioned 90 degrees to the conveyor belt. In order to continuously feed the belt into the system it is turned from technical and space reasons. The conveyor belt so covers a vertical distance. Since there are no scientific researches on this problem, the aim of this work is to build a full-scaled test rig to gain as much knowledge as possible about vertical belt guiding, possible guidance systems and to make suggestions for the original system.
