Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

The products of this thesis are technical optimizations and subsequently a financial evaluation for the gas well deliquification program of RAG, based on the transition to a new foaming agent to overcome liquid loading concerns during gas production. The company experienced reliability and safety issues with the previously implemented chemicals. During this project a new product is tested for its viability as a superior substitute. The engineering-specific results are based on laboratory testing of the chemical agents and observations of procedures associated with the foaming operation. The financial assessment was performed for the three main cost drivers of the foaming procedure at RAG: acquisition of chemicals, storage of chemicals and the filling of the pumping units.
