Abstract
Nowadays it is important to think about alternative energy forms in the automotive industry. Therefore, MAGNA STEYR has made their business to develop a hydrogen-tank for the series production. Concerning this topic, we have the problem of the cleaning that has to be done before the tank is installed so that the function and density are not endangered. This thesis tries to show aspects of the cleaning process that have to be improved. These aspects were found because of a literature investigation and some experiments. Then, some solutions are proposed concerning detergent, component geometry, source of contamination in the surrounding and the material. Also, these proposals are discussed and critically reflected. All in all, this thesis should contribute to the improvement of the cleaning system for hydrogen-tanks, that the serial production becomes possible.
