SUSTAINABLE USE OF TUNNEL AND EXCAVATION MATERIAL WITH SENSOR BASED CLASSIFICATION

Research output: Contribution to conferenceAbstract

Abstract

The NNATT (sustainable use of tunnel and excavation material with sensor based classification) project represents a progressive approach to dealing with tunnel and excavation materials. It offers innovative solutions for the reuse of these materials, thereby contributing to the conservation of primary resources, reduction of landfill usage, shortening of transport routes, and overall sustainability in the construction sector. This is achieved through a combination of chemical-mineralogical and geotechnical analyses, spectral data acquisition in a pilot facility, a customized database and AI-supported material classification, as well as sustainable practices for the development of construction materials and soil additives for agricultural use.
