Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterResearch

Abstract

This article provides an overview of the basic idea behind life cycle assessments (LCAs) in general. It briefly summarizes the history of LCAs and provides an overview of various standards and regulations that take the concept of LCAs into account. The most important characteristics of LCAs are then summarised and presented using a novel morphological box for LCAs. Its application is illustrated using two helpful exemplary profiles.
