Abstract
The main task of this diploma thesis was to work out all demands, which are of importance for the ÖBB-Technical Services GmbH, according to the Austrian law situation concerning buying, sending, receiving and finally the waste disposal of packaging. So first of all, in order to meet all legal requirements, an extended study of the actual law basis, with reference to packaging and an inquiry (including all 33 sites which belong to the ÖBB-Technical Services GmbH) of the usage of packaging had to be done. Of the biggest importance was the practical realisation of these demands, so another big milestone of this work was the integration of all identified demands in the existing management system of the ÖBB-Technical Services GmbH. In order to achieve this goal processes of every key situation" regarding dealing with packaging (such as buying, sending, receiving packaging and so on) were designed and will be integrated in the existing process scheme. Furthermore a detailed work-instruction, which includes information for every employee dealing with packaging, was created. At this point of time the ÖBB-Technical Services GmbH had all the necessary documentation to meet legal compliance, but in order to round off the whole topic financial benefits should also be displayed.
