The cooperation of the Institute of Subsurface Engineering of Montanuniversität Leoben and the ÖBB Infrastruktur AG enabled the development of a test facility for tubbings. The adaptation of the test facility allows testing tubbings of different geometries. Different force combinations can be used to test the tubbing and sensors make it possible to measure displacements. In this master thesis results of three tested tubbings of the Koralmtunnel contract section KAT3 are presented. Before analysing the tests, first some background information about steel reinforced concrete elements, their load bearing and deformation behaviour, crack development, crack openings and failure behaviour is given. This background information is the basis for the analysis of the tested tubbings. To compare the different types of tubbings of KAT3 the vertical loads and stresses are compared to the induced displacements. The results present information about the development of the first crack and ductile behaviour of the steel reinforced elements. The guideline “Tübbingsysteme aus Beton” [1] gives threshold values about the maximum crack opening, which will be discussed by the comparison to the calculated theoretical crack opening. The cracks are recorded by a photogrammetric camera system and analysed. Additionally, the failure type is investigated. Last but not least the comparability of the results of different tubbing geometries is proven in this thesis. Therefore, a static system is created that makes it possible to compare load bearing and deformation behaviour of tubbings of different geometries. The results of tubbings of KAT3 and already tested tubbings of contract section KAT2 are then analysed and compared.
